Construction to Commence in 2020

The first foundations of what will become home to a multi-million dollar building for retirees was shovelled in August 2019, marking the start of a luxury build.

Peakhurst is the upcoming site of Oasis Peakhurst Retirement – a new 41-unit development that will cater to the area’s ageing population.

The $37 million project on Stanley Street is the latest vision by builder developer and living provider, Retirement Your Way. The company is also the manager of Beauty Point Retirement Resort at Padstow Heights, among other residential communities in St George and Sutherland Shire.

There will be three buildings, each with one to three modern bedroom apartments with balconies. The facility will also have an heated indoor pool and spa, restaurant/cafe, a sky-garden barbecue, communal living area and sun-lit library spaces.

Oatley MP Mark Coure helped dig the first lump of soil at the site on August 23, officially launching the start of construction. The project is described as a “breakthrough in retirement living” in the region.

Director and chief executive of Retirement Your Way, George Jabbour, says the suburb’s new haven is being designed as a refined facility that will be a “striking new lifestyle for retirees.”

“OASIS Peakhurst will be an exclusive community of boutique, contemporary and smart urban residences,” he said.

“We’re creating a beautiful place and life to retire to. Luxury apartment living in a sophisticated but inclusive neighbourhood. And all close to the parts of Sydney we know and love.”
